Sunburst is off to a great start. Daniel made some snazzy fliers last week, in fact between the fliers and building the sunburst website Daniel has been pulling a few all nighters lately, and plastered our apartment complex (see above). He planned to go out and sell door to door as well, but we have been getting so many calls and jobs that he hasn't had to yet. Oh by the way I mean US because I have started cleaning windows with Daniel a couple days a week. Last Wednesday we worked together for 5 hours and made $330, not bad! Its also a perk for me that window washing turns out to be a good workout so I don't have to go to the gym days I clean windows.
Daniel is always thinking of additional ways to monetize and grow his business. He has also started selling pest control to those we clean windows and he will spray the first treatment while we are there cleaning their windows--that has also been successful. He is thinking about offering to replace their broken screens for a profit. He also upsells them by offering to add a sealant on their windows for an extra $25 so they stay clean longer and most people get this.
Dan is really excited about this business and tells me often that its sooo nice to not have a "J-O-B" he makes his own hours, gets full commission for every job, and so far we haven't even had to use money on gas because he mostly works in our condo complex, although he has a couple commercial jobs in the works. I would say when Dan does start selling, he will need to hire workers to meet the high demand of jobs. I know the Lord is looking out for us. One of the ladies we cleaned for last week said to me that someone like Dan will "give you a really rich life" I believe it, Dan is going to be a millionaire someday, but what makes me the most happy is I know his heart is in the right place and that he will use his talents and means to bless his family and to build up the kingdom of God. He says that he wants to make Sunburst window Cleaning the biggest window cleaning business in San Diego--I'm sure he won't stop at San Diego, watch out!
