I've got my own Entrepreneural ventures going on, although I have been keeping it under wraps a bit. I am starting my own website all about female puberty, I know it sounds like a funny topic but it actually is in very high demand on the web and there are very few suppliers. In preparation for this I have been taking a 10 week class at a local college to teach me how to build a profitable website that gets high traffic. This is a venture I am starting now, but that will snowball through the years and be a source of supplemental income to our family in the future. It is conducive to my goal to be a stay at home mom someday because I only need to work on it a couple hours a week. Right now I am in the process of building content pages, which is the crux of how it works and how I get high traffic. Eventually I will monetize on the traffic by adding advertisements and even selling some of my own products to go along with the theme.
Aside from the income, I have high hopes of being an influence for good in the life of many young women through this site. So many teenagers go to the internet to answer the questions that plaque their minds, and puberty is a confusing time. My site is geared so that I speak directly to the teens about so many issues they may be wondering about with their bodies, friends, relationships, and even sex. I can't help but weave my values into these topics. A lot of the material out there on puberty encourages teens to mastubate and to practice safe sex as opposed to abstinence. I want them to come to my site and be able to not only get all their questions answered but to feel the spirit and have a desire to have high standards in their lives. Right now my calling is in the Young Womens' presidency of my ward, and I interact with wonderful young women. So on a personal level I feel such a great desire to make an influence with them. I prayed a lot when I was choosing a topic for my site and felt inspired to do this, I have great hopes. I spent most of my time doing preliminary research up till now so the actual site barely started coming up last week, and right now it is very rough and small. I also have been pursuing my own business of personal training people in their homes and soon aerobics instructing on the side as another source of supplemental income, along with my regular office job. We are pretty busy around here as you can tell.
