Daniel is known for his sales skills, sincerity, and appetite. There are only a few people I have met who seem to be born without a "I am going to bust if I eat another bite" switch in their brain to signal to their stomach to stop eating, but Daniel is one of those unique people (good thing he has a metabolism to counterbalance this)
Daniel has been working really hard, also something characteristic of him, on his new window cleaning business including working all day and into the night on some jobs. One particular night last week he was driving home from one of his jobs, not having eaten all day. I was talking to him on the phone while he stopped at the drive through at a taco bell. What he didn't realize, until he was stuck in the drive through line, is that he didn't have any money. Most people would have probley just held out until they got home to eat at that point...Daniel rummages through the car to find coins adding up to 30 cents and then tells me he's going to convince them to give him a bean burrito for 30 cents. I thought he was kidding, because you don't negotiate with taco bell--they already sell their food dirt cheap, right. I had to just laugh as I heard over the phone line Daniel giving them his poor pitiful me story of working all day and being too famished to make it home to eat, so if they would please sell him a bean burrito for 30 cents. The drive through lady did have pity, talked to her manager, and offered to sell him a taco for that price. The funniest thing is that Daniel continued to try to persuade them to sell him the bean burrito instead, but finally settled for a taco. Oh, you just have to laugh.
