Rachelle and her clan in town

So it took like million pictures to get one of Gracie looking at the camera. I know Rachelle got some good ones that she will be posting on her blog of all the kids, but sadly Daniel and I were having so much fun that we didn' think about taking pictures most of the time Rachelle and 5 of her 6 kids were in town. The first night they got here, last Friday, we all went surfing/boogie boarding at the beach even though there was only an hour of daylight left that day. Rachelle stayed on the beach with Olivia and Gracie--I think she spent most of her time chasing Gracie as she tried to bolt for the ocean...I would have liked to see what she did when she got there because she was not afraid of the water at all. Olivia on the other hand could not be bribed or coerced to go in the water. We lost Daniel pretty much right when we got there, I think he swam further out in the ocean to catch the bigger waves, while the 3 boys and I surfed the ones closer to shore. The next day we went surfing again, this time all the boys got up on the board at least once, and I caught 4 real rides myself . In fact, Daniels old roommate Dane was there and he complimented me on my surfing skills--he said he thinks I might be better than Dan (not that it matters but its nice to give my hubby a run for his money every once in a while). The kids went to Seaworld on Monday and Olivia (3 years old) came home and told me all about "shampoo" the whale (thats how she says shamu). I have never heard Olivia talk as much as I did while she was here, I guess that means she is feeling comfortable with me now, yeah. The kids spent most of the rest of there time at the beach, but Daniel and I had to work. It was nice having a bunch of cute, energetic kids running around the house. Rachelle is an awesome mom, I was amazed by how well behaved her kids are, the older ones were always helping out with the younger and the little girls are so obedient. She really has a great balance of fun and discipline--I think she should write a book, but hurry up a write it before I start having kids because I am going to need all the help I can get!
