Date Night

Saturday is the one night Daniel doesn't sell so that is our date night. This week we did an activity we have never done--went to a Padres baseball game. We were invited by another young couple in our ward who happened to have a extra set of tickets .There are quite a few young couples in our ward so we have been trying to hang out with many of them and make friends, most of the couples are pregnant right now so its making me a little baby hungry (I guess my clock is ticking--now I just have to convince my husband). It turned out to be a blast, and a nice coincidence for me is that they were playing the Braves who are my favorite team and I followed them when I lived in Atlanta growing up. In fact, I started doing the tomahawk chop when the Braves scored one of their runs at the game and Daniel jokingly told me he wasn't going to take me home with him unless I stopped. We also were not just entertained by the game but by all the crazy comments and celebratory gestures the drunk Padres fans were making to the other drunk Braves fans in our section. The other best part of the experience, besides the 99 cent hot dogs and soda which always taste better at a baseball game then anywhere else, was the family fireworks show at the end which was coordinated to music; although ironically Daniel turned to me when they were playing hard rock music about losing your virginity and going to hell (a/c d/c "hells bells" and Guns and Roses "welcome to the jungle") and asked "Is this really sopposed to be a family fireworks show." All and all after this experience we will be happy to take free Padres tickets off anyones hands.
