Rozzy Turns 30!

I did not really want to turn 30 but I kinda had to...my original plan in life was to have 4 or 5 children by now, ultimately I always wanted 8 children total, so I am a little behind and that is the main reason I reluctant to be in my 30's because now my biological clock is really ticking. I am in good health so there is still hope for me. I will enjoy where I am at in life.

I started preparing for my birthday about a week ahead of time by going online to see what products, services, or food I could get free on my birthday--there is quite a bit out there including free ice cream at Baskin Robbins, free dinner at Red Robin, free steak dinner at Black Angus, Free lip gloss from Sephora, free admission to Disney Land and many more offers, two pages worth actually--these were just a few of the ones I used during my birthday week (many of them you need to sign up with their e-club online before your birthday to get the offer).
The day of my birthday, June 17th, I took half the day off from work and Daniel and I went swimsuit shopping--I don't think Daniel minded much watching me model swimsuit after swimsuit for him. This is a picture of the one I actually got--it was inspired by the matching swimsuits that Rachelle got for Olivia and Gracie, but an adult version.
This is a gift my mom sent me, it is a carved baboon and represents that happiness is not something to be pursued, chased, or won. Joy comes from within. She also gave me a very inspirational note and one of the things she said is that your 30's are the ideal time in life because you have the compassion and energy from your 20's mixed with the wisdom you gain in your 30's. This note was the best present I got!
This gift was pretty good too--Dan gave me an Apple computer that he got on Craigslist for $400, which was a great deal. Now I don't have to bug him to use his anymore.
Lastly, we went out to eat and then shopping for some rollerblades, I got these for $10 at the Thrift store--and we spent part of our evening at mission bay rollerblading. Actually Dan rode his bike while I skated. Since it is flat there and I wanted more of a workout Dan brought a rope and tied it around my waist and then I pulled him on his bike--it worked pretty well except for the crazy looks we got when we rode by other people and Dan yelled out " Hee yah, go girl, pull!!"while he pretended I was his sleigh dog.

One thing I realized is that every day is like your birthday if you live somewhere like San Diego because there is so much to do and enjoy, and not just one day a year.
