Trying to keep up with web 2.0

My head is swimming from learning all about what is going on with the internet. What is web 2.o you may ask?  Here is a definition: The term "Web 2.0" refers to a perceived second generation of web development and design, that aims to facilitate communication, secure information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web. Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities, hosted services, and applications; such as social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies.

Tonight I even learned how to make a tiny url so I can save some of my 140 characters on twitter.  You see. http://tinyurl.com/kayakSD is smaller than http://beachshootsandiego.com that way in a text message on a cell phone I can say more with the 140 character limit.

I found Twitter to be a good way to see who is interested in kayaking.  Twitter is update about what people are doing overload, but all this excess info can be put to good use.

You have to be willing to learn about all this stuff if you are going to compete out there.

Learn it and manage it.
